The inaugural ride of the Four Wheelin' Women ATV Charity Ride for Breast Cancer began in the summer of 2001, with 18 women participating in a fun filled ATV adventure on the picturesque trails of Elliot Lake. A great day was had by all and over $3,000 was raised for breast cancer awareness.

The following year, with 28 women present, we took off on our 2nd annual adventure through the trails of the Ontario Camp of the Deaf, located just south of Parry Sound. This group consisted of 60% "virgin" riders, so we were up for a real challenge!! By the end of our mud soaked ride, these women were ready for the a bigger and better adventure. They were hooked!!!!! Over $5,000 was raised this time around and the Four Wheelin' Women were able to purchase a much needed mammography chair for the West Parry Sound Health Centre's Mammography Unit.

The 3rd Annual Event doubled its number of riders and saw 58 women participate and, thanks to all the hard work by these women gathering pledges, we were able to top the $10,000 mark. The WPSHC Mammography Unit has a newly furnished waiting room, thanks to these incredible efforts.

It was then that we knew that this event was a huge success and was going to continue to grow each year and that the excitement of the sport had spread its wings and women were being hooked everywhere!! It was a exciting year in 2007 when we saw 157 participants raise almost $20,000 for the Barrie Hospital, thanks to the support of the Baxter ATV Club and Team Power Sports.

This annual event has become an annual right of spring for many women who enjoy starting off their ATV season with a fun packed ATV adventure and "Raising Funds and Awareness for Male Breast Cancer......Because MEN GET BREAST CANCER TOO!!"

Looking forward to this years event as we head west and explore the beauty of Huron County and what the Maitland ATV Club has to offer. It is bound to be filled with lots of new adventures and surprises and you don't want to miss out.
